Correspondence and business records pertaining chiefly to Snyder's mining activities in eastern Nevada, notably the operation of the Pioche Assay Office and the Doris Mill and Mining Company, both of which were at Pioche, Nev. Included are letters (a few of which are personal), memoranda, receipts, shipping orders, notebooks containing mining and geological data, assay records, and a 1931 report by J.C. Ingersoll on six mines in the Delamar Mining District, Nev.

J. C. Ingersoll was a naturalist who collected birds and mammals throughout the United States including North Carolina and Florida in 1895. Ingersoll also assisted Samuel N. Rhoads on a mammal collecting trip in Pennsylvania and throughout the southern Alleghenies from September 24 to December 20, 1896.
